Vincent Barro

The project begins with a simple intuition: behind the assumed brutality of MMA lies a human substance that mainstream imagery rarely takes the time to show. A short portrait of Vincent Barro, former fighter turned coach, the film moves beyond a frontal reading of combat to reveal what's actually at play, concentration, breath, transmission. The narrative follows a deliberate arc: tension is installed, then allowed to break loose, before returning to the human dimension and the teaching that shape daily life inside a ring. The intent wasn't to film a sport, but to make visible what it moves in the man who passes it on. A cinematic reading of a discipline too often reduced to its surface.
